New Doctor Strange Video Explores the Universes Within

When it comes to the believability of any superhero movie, there is always a small aspect of disbelief that audiences members must abide by. For a movie like Guardians of the Galaxy, that disbelief is applied to a gun-shooting raccoon and a walking and talking tree being two of main characters involved. When it comes to Doctor Strange hitting theaters in less than a month, viewers will be asked to believe that magic is possible. That may not be as big of a stretch to some people as Rocket or Groot are, but the existence of multiple dimensions and traveling through them may just be.

From all the marketing that has so far been happening for Doctor Strange, people have been comparing the film’s mind-bending visuals to that of Inception, and it is hard to not see those comparisons. Where Inception only deals with a dream reality, Doctor Strange will deal with multiple realities simultaneously coexisting. Based on the latest promo for the IMAX experience for the film, traveling through these realities/dimensions will be unlike anything fans have seen in a Marvel movie so far.

Marvel released a brand new promo for the movie, which is featured at the top of this post, to highlight the visual aspects of traveling through time and space. IMAX appears to have been a big help for director Scott Derrickson in order to achieve a Steve Ditko level of craziness. The promo also features an extended scene of what appears to be Strange’s first trip through the multiverse – and brings along plenty of interesting and unique visuals.

If someone was still not sure about the visuals of the film, this promo should be able to convince them that it will be unlike anything they’ve ever seen. Hardcore Doctor Strange fans are sure to appreciate the ’60s comic vibe that comes out of not only this promo, but likely the entire movie. Fans who really enjoyed the promo have the opportunity to see 15 minutes of the film at select IMAX theaters across the country tonight (October 10th) and can register for the screenings at SeeItFirst.com.

Tickets have also gone on sale now for Doctor Strange, meaning fans across the world can lock down where and when they will be able to experience the mind trip. Even though this is a solo film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead will do more than enough to bring people into the theaters. If viewers are fans of what is shown, a sequel announcement might not be far down the road, either.
